Children's Ministries

Tamborine Mountain Presbyterian Church is committed to the safety and holistic wellbeing of all children (all persons under 18 years of age) involved in our events. To ensure that children and young people are kept safe from harm, our staff and volunteers are required to possess a current blue card; agree to adhere to a Code of Conduct when working with children; and undergo training in Safe Ministry with Children (PresSafe).
Tamborine Mountain Presbyterian Church takes child protection and safety seriously and consequently has policies and procedures in place to ensure that children in our ministries receive the highest standards of care.
We are committed to a policy of mandatory reporting on all matters of abuse.
All staff and volunteers undergo training in relation to the safety and wellbeing of children and the protection of children from harm.
All activities involving children, whether at a denominational or congregational level, are assessed and approved through the processes set out in the Queensland Blue Card System Child and Youth Risk Management Strategy and adopted in the PresSafe Procedures of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland.
Comprehensive reporting on activities and updating of data are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe environment and safe activities.

Play Group:
Exists to provide mothers/careres of the community with a safe environment for their Pre-school aged children to play with their peers. It is also a great way for mums/dads/careres to make new friends.

We meet each week on a Tuesday of school terms and the church is a hive of activity as children and parents/ carers invade for play, craft, morning tea,and story and song time. Designed for 0-5 years old but loved by mums and dads alike, this is a great opportunity to meet new people and foster social interaction with your little ones.

KFC (Kids Fellowship Church):
KFC or Kids Fellowship Church is TMPC's Sunday School Program, which runs every Sunday morning during our Morning Service. After the offering, children from Kindy to Year 6 meet together in the hall for some singing time after which they split into classes.
The aim of the program is to nurture and encourage each child to know, love and serve God.

Our teachers are volunteers from the Church family, all with blue cards and PresSafe training.

Holiday Club:
This is held during the first week of the September school holidays, from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12 noon. It is a program designed for primary school aged children. There is always a play production which provides the theme for the week, with sport, craft, singing, games and Bible stories featured each day.

Our teachers are volunteers from the Church family, all with blue cards and PresSafe training.
